My Father’s Ghost features the literate and passionate songwriting of singer and multi-instrumentalist Timothy Michael Shaw. Their sound is at once soulfully melodic, harmonically diverse and highly danceable. MFG evokes a wide and shifting range of comparisons while being consistently, and persistently, unique. Shaw is joined by percussionist Jarrod Kaplan, who founded and flourished with some of the West Coast’s most popular acoustic instrumental acts including Trillian Green, Hanuman and Taarka. Jarrod has also toured with Cirque du Soleil’s KOOZA and backed-up renowned singer-songwriters Dan Bern, Victoria Williams and David Jacobs Strain among others. Veteran of the Sunset Strip, Eugene native Bobby “kid” Stevens provides rhythmically melodic bass lines, as well as crisp harmonies together with sacred songstress Karly Loveling. Daniel Gallo, of Moonbox and Concrete Loveseat, lends inventive virtuosity on lead guitar and moments of inspired dancing. Karly dances too, more or less continuously.
